100 Photos of 12 National Parks

The yellow moon moved lazily across the sky. Andres knew he only had a few moments to capture it, but for a moment we sat in silence and admired. This happened in Theodore Roosevelt NP, the 9th park along our journey to visit all 59.

We’ve now completed about 25% of our journey (14 parks), and in honor of the park service’s 100th anniversary this week, we collected 100 photos taken in 12 National Parks – from Kentucky to Montana and back – most never seen before. These are the images we take to inspire our Centennial Poster series, which is now up to 11 posters.

A ranger once told us if you visit 20 parks in this country, chances are you’ll get a good idea of what this country is all about. I couldn’t agree more. Not only has our 25% unveiled the baffling diversity in landscape, but it’s also shown us the diversity of people how populate these lands.

So without further ado, check out the photos in this album on our Flickr page: https://flic.kr/s/aHskFuLhp1
